Twelve months ago Tombola shocked players by changing their free to play Stars game for a new instant win game called Worlds. How To Play Trio
Once your code has been verified you're able to play Trio. Your first task is to choose a theme to play. There are nine options: snapshot, retro, pinata, lanterns, chests, lamps, pharoah, aloha and western. No matter which theme you choose the format of the game is the same. You have nine squares on a scratchcard to remove and the aim of the game is to match three of a kind - a trio! Simply click or swipe an icon to reveal the symbol.
The different themes simply give you a different look to your Trio game. For example Retro has Rubik's Cubes to 'scratch' whilst it's Coconuts for Aloha. The various symbols you need to match are based on the theme. So look out for sunglasses on Aloha and Joysticks on Retro. We can't tell you about the other themes as these are the only two we've tried. Don't forget to login to both Tombola and Tombola Arcade to play Trio twice daily.
Win Up To £1000
Prize wise you can win up to £1000 on Trio. The lowest value prize is £5. Other cash amounts on offer are £10, £20, £50 and £500. All prizes are paid in cash and no wagering terms apply. In total Tombola expect to pay out around £35,000 a week to Trio players. Note that this is across both sites. What we don't know is how many £1000 winners will be guaranteed each week!
So is Trio a welcome addition to the Tombola line-up? It's a shame to see Worlds disappear from Tombola but it's also great to see a new daily free game back on the site. We do wonder whether the uptake of Worlds dropped off over the 12 months? Tombola's free games are notoriously hard to win so we'd not be surprised if people gave up on playing. We can't remember the last time we bothered with it! The free Trio game is fun to play and should act as a catalyst to entice players back into Tombola every day.
